Coming Alive In Christ
What does it mean to come alive? One of the definitions of life is this: Vitality, vigor, or energy. So coming alive can be seen as finding that purpose or calling that brings you strength, enthusiasm, and a plentiful supply of energy.

- Eat Breakfast
- Take Care of Responsibilities
- Eat Dinner
- Sleep
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” ~Ephesians 3:14-21 (Emphasis added.)
You see that? God can make it happen. He is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or even just imagine!
Our Heavenly Father is calling us. And He qualifies us, and not because of our degree, our certifications, or our fancy list of accomplishments… No, He qualifies us for no other reason than the fact that He has called us. We have been uniquely called for a specific purpose to bring glory and honor to God. And HE will accomplish His will through our willing availability, not our humanly acquired ability.
So listen to that ache. Bring it to Christ in prayer and ask Him to reveal His plans to you, as He willingly desires to do! (Check out that promise in Ephesians 1:7-10)
Look for that way that God has designed you: Specifically. Strategically. Purposefully. Uniquely. That way He has designed you to bring life and light to a world that is dull and dying. Find it, and pursue it faithfully, step by step, as God leads you into the fullness of coming alive in your calling.
